The next meeting of the South MS Tea Party (formerly the MS Gulf Coast 912 Project) will be Monday, May 7, at 6:30 pm at the D'Iberville Recreation Center, located off Brodie Rd. behind D'Iberville Elementary School.
Guest speakers will be Richard Smith and Ron Williams.
Richard Smith will be giving us background on the Harrison County Vehicle for Hire Commission and how it is crippling the taxi cab industry on the Gulf Coast by basically regulating them out of business. We will find out how we can help combat this and other job killing legislation.
Many of you may remember Ron Williams, who was a candidate for the governor of Mississippi not too long ago. He is now running for Congress against Rep. Steven Palazzo. He will be speaking to us about his platform and taking questions.
We will also have a report on the recent precinct caucuses and county conventions and will be discussing the outcomes of some of those as well as plans for the upcoming state Republican Convention in Jackson on May 18 and 19. The Tea Parties in our state are making some progress.
Don't forget about our lending library. If you do not get GBTV (Glen Beck TV), we have some episodes on DVD that are available to borrow.

As you may remember, Gina Miller's Audio Blog, which normally airs on 104.9 FM on Clear Channel Radio has been cancelled. We now have a petition to reinstate her. Please make sure to sign it at the meeting. **************************
We also have two fully outfitted survival packs that will be on display at our meeting that we are going to raffle in the coming months.
Don't forget to bring a canned food item to be donated to our local food pantry.
Also, if you took home one of the surveys about the group, bring that with you also. We will have more copies available if you need them.
We hope to see you on Monday night!
